Kate Middleton posted a rare selfie video dedicated to Mental Health Week
Kate Middleton shared her most revealing date video, taking a selfie, and also promoted the start of Children’s Mental Health Week.
According to the initiative’s official website, the theme for this year is Express Yourself, and on Sunday, January 31st, the Duchess of Cambridge released her first ever selfie-style video to discuss the importance of expressing thoughts, ideas and feelings.
Children’s Mental Health Week this year is all about expressing yourself finding creative ways to share your thoughts, ideas and feelings, she explained. So, whether it’s photography, art, drama, music, or poetry, it’s about finding what makes you feel good.
The mom of three, who recently changed her hair, donned a navy beanie and matching quilted Barbour jacket in a clip that People said was filmed at her home in Norfolk, Amber Hall, where she and Prince William are staying amid the pandemic. In her message, Middleton also urged parents to take care of themselves in the face of the ongoing pandemic so that they can be the best versions of themselves for their children.
This is a very difficult time for all of us, so please take care of yourself, added Duchess Catherine. Find ways to share your thoughts and feelings, or find someone to talk to, because we really need to be the best versions of ourselves for the kids we care about.
Kate Middleton’s video came days after she spoke about the challenges she faced during her isolation and the many roles she took on, including a teacher and hairdresser. As parents, we have the day-to-day elements of parenting, but I guess during the isolation we had to take on additional roles that other members of our community and life would help us with, she said during a video chat with a group of parent friends.
Middleton added that, to the horror of my children, I became a hairdresser in isolation. Make sure everyone takes care of themselves. It is very difficult to prioritize, but now it is definitely needed more than ever, she continued. It is important for our children that we take care of ourselves too.
